𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐊𝐃𝐏𝐡𝐢? “Before entering college, I heard of aKDPhi because my sister is a part of the UMBC chapter, but back then I never thought I would have joined Greek life. After going out to multiple rush events I kept getting drawn to the welcoming, friendly community that they had. I tend to be introverted and shy when you first meet me and usually it takes a while for me to open up, but it was different when I met the sisters of aKDPhi. From the start, they helped me feel accepted and I was at ease to be myself.”

This really resonated with me as I wanted to be a part of a community of like-minded women who can help each other grow”

I also admired the positivity and confidence every sister had and easily knew that I wanted to be a part of this uplifting, strong community to enable myself to grow personally and professionally”

I got to meet a lot of the sisters and through talking to them, it made me want to join aKDPhi even more”

After my first semester of college, I realized that I wanted to get more in touch with my identity, so I decided to rush for an Asian-interest sorority. As someone who’s always willing to learn more about herself, aKDPhi stood out to me with its focus on both professional and personal growth. After seeing how confident and culturally-aware sisters were, I knew I wanted to be a part of something greater”
